Appeal to Help ID Assault Suspects

Surrey Police Service (SPS) is appealing to the public for assistance to help identify two suspects in an assault that occurred outside a South Surrey business on May 31, 2026.
At approximately 4:00 pm on May 31, 2026, outside the Menchies Frozen Yogurt store located at 15775 Croydon Dr, Surrey, a male youth was sitting on a bench when he was approached by an unknown male youth who sprayed him with bear spray while another male youth recorded the incident on a cell phone.
The male youth suspect that deployed the bear mace is described as a White male in his teens, with shaggy brown hair, approximately 5'4" tall, and wearing a light hoodie, red shirt, black shorts, black shoes, and a cross-body bag, and may have been pushed around in a blue shopping cart (see photos 1 and 2 attached).
The male youth suspect that filmed the incident is described as a Middle Eastern male in his teens, with short black curly hair, approximately 5'6" tall, with his right hand wrapped in medical tape, and wearing a black t-shirt with white designs, black pants with large white designs, white shoes, and a cross-body bag (see photo 3 attached).
The victim, whom police have identified and spoken with, is described as a Middle Eastern teenaged youth, with black curly hair, approximately 5'6" tall, and wearing a black hoodie, light blue jeans, and black clog-style shoes. SPS is providing the victim’s description in the hopes that any witnesses may remember the incident.
