The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over conduct of a homicide investigation after a shooting in the 13900 block of Laurel Drive, Surrey. 

At approximately 1:40 am on March 15, 2026, Surrey Police Service (SPS) officers responded to reports of shots fired in a residence in the 13900 block of Laurel Drive, Surrey. Upon arrival, members located a man apparently suffering from gunshot wounds. SPS members immediately rendered aid to the injured man.  BCEHS attended, and the man was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene. A man was arrested at the scene and is currently in custody.

IHIT has now taken over the investigation and are working in partnership with SPS to complete priority investigative tasks.
