Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian near the intersection of King George Boulevard and 40 Avenue that resulted in the pedestrian being taken to hospital in critical condition. 

At approximately 6:12 pm on November 3, 2025, SPS Frontline officers responded to a report of a collision between a vehicle and an adult female pedestrian near the intersection of King George Boulevard and 40 Avenue. The pedestrian was transported to hospital in critical condition by BCEHS. Several other vehicles were also involved in minor collisions with each other as a result of the initial collision with the pedestrian. No one else was injured.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene. The cause of the collision remains under investigation. 

Motorists are advised that the northbound lanes of King George Boulevard at 40 Avenue will be closed and experiencing closures during the evening while officers investigate.
