RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) is investigating an early morning shooting at a residence in Cloverdale area of Surrey.

On December 31, 2025, at approximately 4:25 am, police responded to reports of shots fired at a home in the area of 187 Street and 54 Avenue, Surrey. RCMP SPOSU members attended the location and noted damage to a home and a parked vehicle. Several bullet casings were located in front of the home. Fortunately, no occupants of the residence were injured. 

SPOSU’s General Investigation Unit (GIU) has assumed conduct of this investigation. While this is believed to be related to an extortion, whether or not there is a nexus to other ongoing investigations is being assessed and SPOSU GIU investigators are working closely with partner agencies to advance this investigation.
