Police Investigating Early Morning Shots Fired in Cloverdale

Surrey Police Service (SPS) and RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) are investigating an early morning shots fired in a Cloverdale neighbourhood.
At approximately 4:35 am on March 12, 2026, RCMP SPOSU members responded to reports of a shots fired in the 19500 block of 65 Avenue, Surrey. Upon arrival, police located multiple shell casings. A residence in the area was located with damage that may be related, however there are no known injuries at this time.
RCMP SPOSU General Investigation Unit (GIU) has taken conduct of the investigation. The investigation is in its early stages and investigators are continuing to gather evidence. While the motive for the shots fired is still under investigation, it doesn’t appear this incident is related to the ongoing series of extortions in Surrey.
