SPS Investigating Early Morning Shooting That Injures One

Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating an early morning shooting in Surrey’s City Centre, where one victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
On July 28, 2026, at approximately 3:44 am, SPS Frontline officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area of 106 Avenue and 135A Street in Surrey, where one person was injured and the suspect had fled. Upon arrival at the scene, police located one female with minor injuries and evidence of shots fired.
The investigation is in its early stages. However, it is believed to be targeted and not extortion-related.
SPS’s Major Crime Section has taken over the lead on the investigation, and the Integrated Forensic Identification Services (IFIS) will be in the area processing physical and digital evidence.
