Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating an early morning shots fired at a residence in Surrey’s Cloverdale neighbourhood. 

On July 7, 2026, at approximately 8:00 am, SPS was called by a homeowner of a residence in the 16500 block 58 Avenue that they had found what they believed to be gunshot damage to their residence. SPS Frontline officers responded and confirmed damage to the exterior of the residence was caused by gunfire at 2:51 am on July 7, 2026. The residence was occupied at the time and thankfully, no one was injured. 

SPS’s Extortion Response Team has taken over the lead on the investigation and at this early stage it is believed to be extortion related.

SPS is asking anyone who was in the area at the time and saw any suspicious activity, has dashcam footage, or lives in the area and has CCTV footage, or if you have information on the 99-0incident, to contact SPS’s non-emergency line at 604-5502 and quote file number 26-70031 (SP).
