SPS is hosting a half-day workshop for women that are interested in learning more about a career in policing. Requirements to participate in the event
When you request a ticket through our event site, our Recruitment Team will reach out to you and ask you to provide the following information:

  • Cover Letter articulating why you’re interested in attending this Workshop, and any relevant work and /or volunteer experience
  • Canadian citizen or proof of permanent resident with a minimum 5 years in Canada
  • 30 credits of Post Secondary Education (non-official transcript required)
  • Valid Class-5 Drivers License (photo required)

Join us for an in-person information session where you will learn all about career opportunities with SPS and what it takes to become a recruit.

This is your opportunity to meet and speak with recruiters about the application process, learn more about who we are, and find out how you can be part of a new, progressive police service.

Information Sessions

Surrey Police Service will be holding information sessions for recruits every two months. If you are interested in becoming a police officer, attending an information session is a mandatory part of your application process. You will be asked during the process to indicate which information session you attended. 

Information sessions will cover a variety of topics including, the vision. values and history of SPS, basic qualifications, what we're looking for in a candidate, the application process, realities of policing, salary and benefit information, and a period of questions and answers where you can speak to recruiters.
